Why these are free

I am at Bloxwich Launchpad a lot. It is where I ran my six week Introduction to AI workshop, and where I taught the staff how to build an avatar and animate it. On an ordinary day you will find me working there while the children are at school, because it is easier to concentrate in a room with other people in it than on my own at home.

It is a Walsall Council project, and it has a maker space with a large format printer, sublimation, a Cricut and 3D printers, plus machines big enough for editing and proper coding work.

Some of the people from that first workshop are still building, and we still catch up. That is really why these tools are free. The gap is almost never the technology. It is having somebody show you the first step.
