For solo founders, travel can expose the part of a business that only works while you are watching it.
This week’s Saturday Story follows Priya, who used to pack a portable monitor, spare keyboard and printed backups because a missed automation convinced her that the whole business had to travel with her. It did not. What helped was building the week before she left: a screen recording ready for a question that might come up, systems designed to run without supervision and a small enough kit that the person travelling could still rest.
The business does not have to fit in a bag to be real. The plan needs to hold when you are away from the desk.
